Coach Swygert has a been a successful high school head coach, D2 offensive coordinator, D1 offensive coordinator, and is considered to be one of the best coaches in SC.

Head Coach: Hillcrest High School, Simpsonville, SC - Record 26-11 

At SC State, 2 of his quarterbacks broke school records for TDs in a game and he helped develop the MEAC conference player of the year. Multiple receivers broke school records and were all- conference selections.

At Newberry, coached D2 Heisman finalist, school records set in total offense, passing offense, TD scored, points per game. Also had school record for first downs in a game (39). 

Played at the University of South Carolina for a legend, Lou Holtz. Finished playing career at Western Carolina.

He played at Western Carolina with current Syracuse head coach, Fran Brown.
